Tri-County League

When is outdoor registration?

Our outdoor registration is February 1 to 28.  This allows us time to recruit coaches and organize coach and referee courses before the start of the season.

Where will Fort Saskatchewan outdoor community teams play?

All Fort Saskatchewan community teams will be required to play all their games in Tri-County leagues.

Where will Fort Saskatchewan outdoor premier teams play?

All Fort Saskatchewan premier teams will play their games in the Edmonton Premier league. The premier outdoor season games are May through July with premier Provincials in mid-August.

Will this affect Fort Saskatchewan indoor teams? Currently there are not enough indoor teams in the Tri-County district to have an indoor league. Fort Saskatchewan U11 to U19 indoor teams will continue to play in Edmonton or Sherwood Park until Tri-County declares an indoor league.

Which communities are members of Tri-County and how far are those communities from Fort Saskatchewan?

Will the Fort have any guest teams in Sherwood Park or EMSA?

Tri-County will only allow guest teams in Sherwood Park or Edmonton if there are not enough Tri-County teams at a given U-level to form a Tri-County league.

What are the play dates and start times for games in the Tri-County league?

Game start time is 7:30pm unless indicated otherwise. Teams play as follows with some weekend double headers. Game locations depend on which Tri-County communities had teams at each particular U-level.

   U11 -Tuesday & Thursday

   U13 - Monday & Wednesday

   U15 - Tuesday & Thursday

   U17 - Monday & Wednesday

   U19 - Tuesday & Thursday

When will we know if there are enough teams at a U-level to form a league?

A minimum of four teams are needed to form a league. Tri-County historically determines this in March or April; after our registration has closed for the season.

What if there aren’t four teams at my child’s U-level?

In the past Tri-County has done the following when there aren’t a minimum of four teams:

        -   Combine teams from different U-levels to make a league (ie. Combined U17 and U19 boys)

        -   Combine boys and girls teams at a U-level. (ie. Combined U13 girls and U13 boys)

        -   Allow teams to be guest teams in St. Albert, Edmonton or Sherwood Park. This is dependent on the option being available from those communities.

        -   Some teams have had to play just in tournaments rather than a regular league.
