Program Information - Outdoor

Volunteer coaches are needed for all levels. Without coaches we cannot have teams no matter how many children register

Players must play in their appropriate age level unless exceptional circumstances are determined by our Technical Committee. For more information refer to - Policy 120: Player Movement (found under the Information/Polices, Rules and Regs Tab)

Starting 2016 all Fort Saskatchewan outdoor U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 community teams must play games in our home district of Tri-County. This means at registration Fort Saskatchewan players will not have the option of requesting that their team be a guest team in the Sherwood Park or Edmonton (EMSA) leagues. Tri-County will only enter a guest team in EMSA or Sherwood Park leagues if there are not enough Tri-County teams (4 teams) at a given age level to form a Tri-County league. For more information, click here

All U11 to U19 league team practices are in Fort Saskatchewan. U3, U5, U7, U9 players will play all their games/practices in Fort Saskatchewan.

U11 to U19 League Descriptions:

1) Tri-County League (U11 to U19)

The league runs May and June with U13-19 Provincials being held in mid-July. Games are played in Fort Saskatchewan and in any of the other Tri-County communities. Practices are in Fort Saskatchewan. Tri-County communities include: Ardrossan, Athabasca, Bon Accord, Boyle, Bruderheim, Gibbons, Legal, Morinville, Redwater, Riviere Qui Barre, Smoky Lake, Thorhild, Tofield, and Westlock

2) Premier - Edmonton (EMSA) League

The U11 premier league runs May and June with no provincial offering. The U13-19 premier league runs May, June and July with the premier provincials being held in mid-August.

Youth premier teams will be offered if, during the premier tryout registration, there is enough player and coach interest for these programs.  There will be tryouts at the levels at which have sufficient registrations to offer premier.  Any player not present at tryouts or who doesn't make the premier and wants to play on a Fort Saskatchewan Soccer community team needs to be registered for the community program during the registration  period to ensure a place on the community roster.

Premier players/teams will have additional fees (for practices and league fees) which will be collected when the teams are finalized. Premier teams require greater commitment to games and practices than do the community teams. Premier players will be expected to attend extra practices and all games.

Adult Programs
Fort Saskatchewan Soccer supports Soccer for Life and supports the expansion of adult programs. In the past seasons, Fort Saskatchewan Soccer had a coed recreational group which plays twice a week. Our  coed recreational programs will be continuing in the outdoor season.

We are offering a women's adult team this outdoor season that will play in EDSA (Edmonton) League. Registrants must be 16 years old by May1, 2020. The season runs from the first of May to early August, with provincials in late August. We need 14 players signed up  by Feb 23 in order to register the team. We will require a $100 deposit to register with the remaining of the fees (TBD) due once we know we have enough players to proceed.
