Volunteer coaches are needed for all levels. Without coaches we cannot have teams no matter how many children register.
Players must play in their appropriate age level unless exceptional circumstances are determined by our Technical Committee. For more information refer to - Policy 120: Player Movement (found under the Information/Polices, Rules and Regs Tab)
Starting 2016 all Fort Saskatchewan outdoor U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 community teams must play games in our home district of Tri-County. This means at registration Fort Saskatchewan players will not have the option of requesting that their team be a guest team in the Sherwood Park or Edmonton (EMSA) leagues. Tri-County will only enter a guest team in the EMSA league if there are not enough Tri-County teams (4 teams) at a given age level to form a Tri-County league. For more information, click here
All U11 to U19 league team practices are in Fort Saskatchewan. U3, U5, U7, U9 players will play all their games/practices in Fort Saskatchewan.
U11 to U19 League Descriptions:
1) Technical Training Program: (U11 to U19)
This is an in-house program that will run twice a week. Pending, weather and field conditions and AHS restrictions, the program will run May and June and possibly into July.
It will be run by coaches supported by the Fort Sask Soccer technical team and will focus on footwork, tactical skills, 2v2 drills, 3v3 drills and scrimmages if the AHS restrictions allow.
2) Tri-County Community League (U11 to U19)
The league runs May and June with U13-19 Provincials being held in mid-July. Due to COVID-19, the season may start later and go a little longer. Community leagues are tentatively starting May 15. Community teams may play into July. Provincials are TBD for the outdoor season.
Practices will be in Fort Saskatchewan. Games are played in Fort Saskatchewan and in any of the other Tri-County communities which include: Ardrossan, Athabasca, Bon Accord, Boyle, Bruderheim, Gibbons, Legal, Morinville, Redwater, Riviere Qui Barre, Smoky Lake, Thorhild, Tofield, and Westlock.
3) Premier - Edmonton (EMSA) League
There will be no premier program for the 2021 outdoor season as Tri-County is not going to release any teams from the district due to COVID-19 and the ups and downs with restrictions from AHS.
4) Timbit Programs
We offer programs for children born in 2018 up to 2012. U3 play once a week and U5, U7 and U9 play twice a week. We will be offering the same programs for our U3-9 players as we have in the past outdoor seasons. Pending, weather and field conditions and AHS restrictions, the program will run May and June and possibly into July. Please click on the age group below for more information.
Fort Saskatchewan Soccer supports Soccer for Life and supports the expansion of adult programs. In the past seasons, Fort Saskatchewan Soccer had a coed recreational group which plays twice a week. The Adult Co-ed Recreational Program has been postponed until further notice. We are hoping to continue the program when the AHS restrictions are lifted.
