Volunteer coaches are needed for all levels. Without coaches we cannot have teams no matter how many children register.
Players must play in their appropriate age level unless exceptional circumstances are determined by our Technical Committee. For more information refer to - Policy 120: Player Movement (found under the Information/Polices, Rules and Regs Tab)
U9 to U19 League Descriptions:
Edmonton (EMSA) Community League (U9 to U19)
The league runs May and June with U13-19 Provincials being held in mid-July. Games are played in Fort Saskatchewan and in Edmonton. Practices are in Fort Saskatchewan. Teams are placed into tiers from 3 through 7. Tiers 3 and 4 are the competitive community league and teams will be built based on the completed assessments. Tiers 5/7 will be community fun/developmental. Tier 3 and 4 are eligible for Provincials and the other tiers are eligible for City finals.

U5 and U7 Program Description :
All U5, and U7 sessions will be in Fort Saskatchewan. We are following Alberta Soccer and Canada Soccer in running the Grassroots Program. We are teaching age appropriate basic fundamental movement skills. The emphasis is on having fun while learning the basic physical literacy skills. ASA believes that players at this age level benefit more from learning soccer basics by keeping all players engaged by more ball touches. The ASA grassroots plan is to have no teams at these age levels.
Each group will be rotating through four stations which are:
